What’s so special about remixes? Well, everything. As music connoisseurs, there is nothing more interesting than hearing a song that you already know being taken to new heights. As musicians, remixing another’s song is one of the highest forms of respect you can pay to a fellow artist. Remixes give producers the chance to take what they liked about a song and make it better, change what they didn’t like about it, or completely throw away most of the original to only to make it their own. Some remixes crash and burn as they remain outshined by the original (i.e. almost every “Levels” remix) and others replace the original as the definitive mix to know (i.e. any of the songs below). No matter how you look at it, remixes are some of the most popular to produce and tend to be the most sought after amongst the EDM community.
