Get Glitchy with Robotic Pirate Monkey’s Newest Single, Bandit!

Break out the yellow caution tape, because RPM just MURDERED it with their latest single, Bandit. Switching from their usual mid-tempo hip-hop feel, they’ve created a track that takes on a more glitch-like outlook on hip-hop. The dreamy intro composed of a lucid guitar solo paired with synths makes for an acoustic masterpiece turned glitch-hop perfection. The dynamic duo met in college at the University of Colorado Boulder and decided to kick the books aside and embark on a musical adventure sharing the stage with an assortment of EDM heavy weights like Zeds Dead, Paper Diamond, Big Gigantic, Crystal Castles, Gramatik, ill.Gates, Conspirator, Savoy, and Krewella. If you ever get a chance to check these guys out you’d be a fool not to take it; their energy is unmatchable and they get down harder than even the biggest names in the game!

The xx – Night Time (Kicks N Licks Remix) + New Sound Waves Mix

Wobble just took on another meaning as the boys of Kicks N Licks have laid into the single Night Time by the The xx for a truly unofficial remix.  Adding in a few metric tons of bass was a great start, but the sidechaining just took it over the top. KnL keep true to their melodic tunes as they take on the dreamy sounds of the almost flawless original by The xx. It’s hard to put into words what these guys did here, so I beg you to give it a listen. If you like the sound of it, I implore you to check out their newest Sound Waves mix that features countless unreleased tracks from the boys. And if you are still intrigued, I beseech you to catch them on tour with Robotic Pirate Monkey this spring!
