Ultra Music Festival 2013 – Weekend 2 Live Sets [Free Downloads]

Ultra Music Festival is a wrap and although many of us could only watch it on YouTube, we all feel a little depressed that it’s over. Seeing the best in the world, pull out all of the stops is what makes Ultra the premiere music festival here in America. We heard countless unreleased tracks, saw some unusual collaborations, all while drinking with our closest friends on couches across the country. Well now you can relive the experiences as we have  collected sets throughout the weekend that you can stream and download. Many of these sets were posted by our friends or other blogs and we have simply compiled them all in one place. We would rather work smart than work hard if we can! Download them all if you want and be sure to check out the tracklists below!

Hot Off the Press: Moby – Extreme Ways (Bourne’s Legacy) (PatrickReza Remix)

PatrickReza, a 19 year old bass/dubstep music producer, is at the forefront of the up and coming dubstep spotlight. Based out of Los Angeles, California, he has been producing for only one year and already has made a huge name for himself in the scene. His remixes, all of which have smashed the Hype Machine Popular Chart’s Top 5 spots, have gained him noticeable attention! PatrickReza‘s remix of Moby’s “Extreme Ways” is a wild warp of wubs, wobbles, and epic drops.

Crate Diggers Club #2: Moombahton

Sorry for the wait guys! CDC number 2 is finally here! This week I’ll be stocking all you DJs with a healthy dose of funky moombahton tracks. Like trap to most people getting into electronic dance music, finding artists that are quality is usually going to take some extensive work. Some people recognize Dillon Francis as a prominent DJ in the moombahton scene first and formost, and while he’s a favorite of mine, there are plenty of artists worth looking into. The genre is still fairly new, and its diverged into a few subgenres already. Today I’ll be bringing it to you in multiple forms, so you can push it into whatever DJ set you’re planning, either to speed up the tempo of your set, or to slow it down a bit.

Will Bailey, Whiskey Pete – Wet Dream

Alex Clare – Up All Night (Nadastrom Remix)

Hardwell – Spaceman (Naffz Remix)

Sazon Booya – Shake (ft. Valerie Valentine)

Diplo – Horsey (Lazerdisk Party Sex Remix)

Craze – Grabbin’ Chochas

Datsik – Fully Blown (Kroktopus Remix)

J-Trick, Jay Fay – Killswitch

.357 Magnum – Gojira (ETC!ETC! Remix)

Lots of tracks for you to digest, but this is a good sampling of who I believe is killing it in the moombahton scene lately. Nadastrom, namely Dave Nada, is the reason for the genre’s existence. The rest may not be so common to those unfamiliar with moombahton, and this article is meant to educate you on these producers. I hope you choose to pick up more from these artists, as well as give their Facebook pages some love. I’m going to leave you with a clip of a song recently released by the one and only dubstep legend Doctor P. Reason I don’t drop it as a free download? It is WORTH the purchase. It is one of THE hardest hitting moombahton (or I suppose moombahcore) tracks released to date. Ladies and gentleman….Galaxies and Stars!

Facebook pages:

Will Bailey, Nadastrom, Naffz, Sazon Booya, Lazerdisk Party Sex, Craze, J-Trick, Jay Fay

I’ll be keeping this a Saturday article from now on due to my work schedule, so stay tuned every saturday. Remember to peep Crate Diggers Club #1 on trap if you have not done so already, and keep checking this website during the week for surprise articles by myself. Next week I’ll be switching gears and be hitting some progressive house tunes. Those looking for something melodic and powerful sounding that isn’t Avicii, stay tuned.

Also check out this moombahton article by my fellow writer here at MMIBTY.com if you need more reading material: Moombah Madness!

Wednesday Weather Report

Its Wednesday, the weather is absolutely beautiful on the right coast so lets kick up the noise with another dose of premium sounds.

If this is your first time joining us, once a week I like to take a handfull of my favorite music in the last seven days and share them all with you.  This gorgeous weather we have been having over here in Burlington Vermont has been really getting me in the mood for some up-beat tropical tunes, as well as some brilliant house music.

With out further adue, enjoy your summer days, be safe, work hard and party harder.

Doctor P & Dillon Francis – Music Is Dead

Jerry Rekonius – Paranormal

Clockwork – Squad Up (Torro Torro Remix)

Nas – The Don (Codes New York City Remix)

Rihanna & Chris Brown – Birthday Cake (Willy Joy Bootleg)

Borgore – Decisions (Cedric Gervais Remix)

You dont have to go home, but you can’t stay here, well you can if you want. This track is by far the perfect closer right now.

Clinton Sparks Vs Semisonic – Closing Time

Dub Edition Vol. 6

Gotta start you off with the latest remix from Zeds Dead. Zeds is an anomaly to me in the dubstep world, as I don’t there’s another dubstep artist/s that can put out a steady catalog of tunes which I consistently like every time. The second I see their name on a remix or original, I already know it’s gonna be good. Combine that with the fact that they give away 90% of their music for free, it’s just got winning written all over it.

The Electric – Toot Toot (Zeds Dead Remix)

There’s been a lot of remixes floating around of this next song and after listening to a lot of them, I think I have to stick with Boulder, CO’s TYR‘s interpretation, downtempo and melodic complementing the original beautifully.

DVBBS – DRVGS (TYR Remix)

Tons of remixes floating around on this one and I’m not gonna make a claim here and pick this as a favorite. But I really like the sounds going on here with Clark Kent on the remix duties.

The Wanted – Glad You Came (Clark Kent Remix)

Wow. Never thought I’d heard this song remixed so… well. You know how I know you’re not gay? You like this mind-blowing Coldplay remix.

Coldplay – Paradise (System Remix)

Finally, I have definitely found a new fave producer in CRNKN. I posted his trap edit of Doctor P’s “Neon” a couple days back and have been having a field day on his SoundCloud since. His latest is a remix of Ace Hood’s song “We On” from the Starvation mixtape. This is just hard-in-the-mutherfuckin-paint crunk rap music. Below is his “D.A.N.C.E.” remix which breathes incredible life back into that oldie.

Ace Hood – We On (CRNKN Remix)

Justice – D.A.N.C.E. (CRNKN Bootleg)
