Alison Wonderland: I Want U

ALISON WONDERLAND

From the great land of Aus, Alison Wonderland has been under my radar for a while, but after listening to her track I Want U, I had to dig deeper into her dope drops. Featured in her first EP – Calm Down, I Want You took me by surprise and I just couldn’t get enough of it. With a dreamy intro, Alison’s falsetto vocals contribute to the build up of the drop, and it’s absolutely insane. When the first drop comes, you get that feeling of “oooh damn, what is this,” by the second drop, you already have your hands in the air, feeling the vibes, and by the last one, you’re head banging, jumping around screaming ‘hell yeah’ from the top of your lungs. The track itself is a build up to the last bass drop, incorporating the vocals and the energy of the horns that accompany it. No need to say this song has been on replay ever since, and getting to listen to it live was wilder than I could ever imagine.

Alison Wonderland is not afraid to cross genres in her mixes, and she keeps it simple enough to blow your mind. Make sure to check out her other tracks, U Don’t Know, that features McLovin in her music video, and her killer remix of Duke Dumont’s Ocean Drive.
