Bass alert! For anyone wondering why we haven’t heard from the widely popular Bassnectar (Lorin Ashton) in many months it’s because he’s been hard at work on his forthcoming album NVSB, due to drop on June 24th. As a special treat to his fans, and in preparation of the album release and Summer tour, Bassnectar is giving away the lead single from his album titled “Now”. “Now”, which features vocals by Baltimore MC Rye Rye, builds up into a frenzy of Electro synths, flowing rhymes, 808s and plenty of bass before entering into a calming and delicate interlude, only to drop back into a twerk-tastic Trap beat. Many people may not be aware, but Bassnectar is one of the first artists to produce Dance music of the Trap style, something he began intertwining with his older Dubstep foundations.
