I’m a huge fan of electro-house, but lately I’ve been listening to and exploring other types of house music. I’ve really started to get into progressive house, and I’m quickly falling in love with the genre. When I saw Riggi & Piros created a progressive track, I knew I had to check it out. Riggi & Piros are known for their hard-hitting big room and electro-house, but they decided to switch up for their new track, ‘Orion.’ Riggi & Piros are already supported by artists such as Tiesto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, W&W, and many others. The crazy thing is these two Jersey boys are only 17! With great originals and remixes it is only a matter of time before they blow up and become huge. On this track they collaborated with Zaxx, who is also a big room and electr0-house producer. Zaxx is from Staten Island, NY, and he’s a young one too; he is only 16! I listened to some of his originals and remixes on his Soundcloud, and I think this kid is going to be going places in the next few years; he has a tremendous amount of potential, and I think some big-time producers will see this and sign him to a major label. Both Riggi& Piros and Zaxx did a fantastic job on ‘Orion.’ The build is great, and the drop does not disappoint. One of the things I’ve discovered about progressive house is that it is so positive; it makes you feel hopeful, happy, and sometimes even invincible. ‘Orion‘ is definitely uplifting to listen to, and I’m sure if I heard it at a large concert or festival me and everyone around me would go absolutely nuts. It’s always awesome to see artists try something new and nail it. Something tells me we will definitely be hearing and seeing more from Riggi & Piros and Zaxx in the near future.
