Young french producer Kulkid (Thomas Ouf) has recently been making waves on Soundcloud and throughout the web as a whole with features on the likes of Vice’s Thump and XLR8R. His mastery of the remix was made clear early on but it wasn’t until his first original production dropped late last month entitled U Were The One that we truly realized how much talent the 23 year old producer has. With his newest track Kulkid introduces the song with a tin pan drum and ocean type vibe complete with the crashing of waves. The song quickly and almost unexpectedly picks up though at which point Kulkid quickly slips into deep synths and perfectly manipulated vocals while letting the steel type drums hold this track together from start to finish. Kulkid’s french-disco-house type sound is very much his own and we can’t wait to see what this native of the French Alps brings to the table next.
