I don’t know whether I’ve just heard Disclosure‘s original too many times to count but this new remix from XYConstant is trumping “White Noise” for me right now, without question. Creeping up seemingly out of nowhere, XYConstant joined Facebook just mere months ago and this appears to be their first release, dropping on their SoundCloud just a couple weeks ago. As a testament to what a fantastic remix it truly it, the UK duo has already racked up a cool 15,000 plays on their SoundCloud alone. Taking the MNEK cover of “White Noise” as a starting point, XYConstant has created a deep soundscape by utilizing the kind of vocal pitching techniques I’m so into these days supported by a light, tropical beat. The more I listen to it, the more I think they really did improve on the already stellar work of Disclosure and MNEK tenfold, and this remix has certainly replaced the original in my rotation.
