The Odd Chaps may not look that Odd but boy are they young! The duo, 16 and 17 years old, hail from New Zealand and have been producing music for the past few years, having put out a few EP’s and remixes on their SoundCloud. While they are currently in the midst of producing their debut album Limitless, they found time to release a very chilled out remix of The Temper Trap‘s classic track a few days ago. Taking into account that the track never actually needed remixing in the first place, the Chaps put an airy dub beat underneath the beautiful vocals, giving the track the right amount of electronic alteration without messing with the overall mix. Like a lot of new and young producers we’re seeing these days, these boys produce a whole spectrum of sounds, including electro and progressive stuff in addition to chill tracks like this. They actually made a pretty interesting electro remix to Harlem Shake that would be a nice change of pace for a DJ set. Check it out and grab the free DL’s on their Facebook page.
