I’ve been doing a really good job of posting kinda new but also not so new tracks, so why not continue with that trend (they’re still awesome…)? I’m here to crank it up a notch tonight with two free tracks released by Canadian duo Autoerotique (Keith Robertson & David “Dave” Henderson) who hail from Toronto. As members of the Dim Mak label, they’re an incredibly talented duo who I primarily associate with their own brand of Electro-House, with no shortage of bleeps and bloops and wobbles and high-energy funk. I think in general they’ve managed to stay out of the mainstream eye but with over 32,000 Facebook fans they surely have made a name for themselves with their never-ending bass attacks. I discovered “LZR FNK” (which pretty much describes the song – a combination of lasers and funk) today when I was listening to a Miami 2013 compilation; I immediately stopped the track, did some research, and found out it was released for free back in January. As an added bonus, I saw they also released the freebie “R U RDY” (with M o s k a) about two weeks ago so I knew I had to give that a whirl as well. This one packs an equal punch, something I was definitely ready for. Although the boys won’t be at Ultra this weekend or next weekend, you can catch them in Miami at Story (with Felix Cartal) on the 20th and the Raleigh Hotel on the 21st.
