If you’re anything like me, you spent quite a bit of time with hip-hop before electronic music came into your life and you can’t mention formative hip-hop without speaking about Jay-Z. Perhaps most famous for his production on Jay-Z’s records, Just Blaze has been a undeniable force in hip-hop production for close to 15 years and has, whether you’re aware or not, probably produced some of your favorite songs. While he may not have been on the radar as much the past few years, he has come back onto the scene by announcing his collaborative tour with Brooklyn’s trap sensation Baauer. Seeing these two on the same bill can only mean great things and there’s little I could say that hasn’t already been said about the two. One thing’s for sure: you can’t miss this show. So ditch the girlfriend (or bring her along, if she’s into this kinda thing) this Valentines Day (Thursday, 2/14) to the Middle East Downstairs in Cambridge for what’s sure to be night full of booties down and elbows up.
