FYOR is the freshly minted solo project of Kevin Chapman, cleverly pronounced “fire”, which is quickly building steam in the LA electronic music scene. The off shoot moniker (formerly 1/2 of No Body) is definitely something worth paying attention to as he is already rebuilding his arsenal of tracks as he begins to take the stage on some of the biggest platforms on the west coast. With the original release of Chupacabra, we get a heavy building anthem that gives me goose bumps as the track provides a roller coaster of intense buildups and funky drops. The track incorporates a ton of new sounds that makes you think you are listening to some sort of mashup. I give the guy a lot of props for creating such a unique, all encompassing song for one of his first releases. I got to give the discovery credit to the big man BONES, the ultimate source of good sound!
