Seeing Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano kill it this past Tuesday at Bijou Nightclub was an awesome time (write-up coming soon) – but I’ve come to expect that. I’ve also come to expect them to play songs I’ve never heard before. And then there are those times they play a song you’ve heard, but only a couple times, and you have NO idea what it’s called. Well that happened to me on Tuesday with an awesome song you’ve probably never heard called “Blackout” by Franky Rizardo ft. Roul & Doors (released on Fedde le Grand’s Flamingo Recordings). Thankfully in the break of the song the boys layered the acapella of Fatboy Slim‘s “Star 69” (They know what is what, But they dont know what is what, They just strut. What the fuck?) over it, allowing me to dig a little deeper. After tweeting the boys and not receiving a response, I reached out to our ticket winner for help. She has a passion for dance music that rivals most people’s. And she’s a female. And she received this Tweet back:

I also want to call everyone’s attention to Arty‘s Together We Are podcasts. I posted one of these a couple weeks ago when Mat Zo provided a guest mix. But the most recent episode, #017, sees Arty’s return to the decks and boy is this one special. It features the latest and greatest in House, Progressive, and Trance tunes, and even contains some bangers I’ve never heard of.
