One of my favorite producers has re-released an absolutely huge remix of Skrillex‘s Drop Dead single on Atlantic Records today. Released over a year ago, it is back and remastered for all of our listening pleasures. Keeping true to his moniker Blende seamlessly integrates hard-hitting electro via robotic synths, mixed with funky disco grooves, all with a rock ‘n’ roll edge. That all sounds great and what not, but does that still mean he can just casual remix the insane drops of Sonny, fuck yea. I remember when this track originally dropped because I couldn’t believe you could turn Drop Dead into an upbeat, funky jam.
