Today I bring to you two songs that aren’t exactly new, but they’ve been on heavy rotation for me as well as touring DJs around the world, making appearances in podcasts, mixes, and live sets. These are both beautifully constructed songs with some great bass yet melodic synths and uplifting vocals. I wish we posted more Progressive House on MMIBTY and I am going to make a conscious effort to do so as I listen to podcasts like Eric Prydz‘s brand new one called Epic Radio, which features a lot of lesser-known Progressive tunes, and Above & Beyond’s Trance Around the World which features the latest and greatest in Trance and Progressive. I’ve come to really dig Eric Prydz’s music under his alias “Pryda” which is what he uses to compose his softer/more progressive tracks (as opposed to using “Eric Prydz” for more main stream music/Swedish House Mafia type sounds and “Cirezd” as his Techno moniker). His new song “Allein” (pronounced align), released last month, is the perfect summer tune and gives me chills every time I hear it. I can’t wait to see him at this year’s Identity Music Festival.

Above & Beyond have highlighted “Allein” in their recent podcasts, as well as their new club remix of their song “On My Way to Heaven” featuring Richard Bedford, with whom they’ve collaborated before. This remix is heavier and goes harder than the original, but keeps the same melodies and lyrics – making it a perfect club destroyer that comes in at just over seven minutes long. Do yourselves a favor and stay locked to these two artists because they’re doing huge things in the EDM world right now. In fact, Above & Beyond may be the most important artists in the Trance world right now, serving as an outlet for some great music and promoting many up-and-comers with their label Anjunabeats.

*These songs gain “in case you missed it status” because they were released over the past several weeks but are must-hear tracks*

Pryda – Allein
Above & Beyond ft. Richard Beford – On My Way to Heaven (Above & Beyond Club Mix)

Have you heard of Seven Lions? Well you need to get on this guy. His Dubstep remixes are masterpieces and manage to combine wobbles with beautiful melodies. Check out his SoundCloud for more!
