Survival Sunday: Deadmau5, Lazy Rich, Tommy Trash and More

How we feeling with that extra hour of sleep peeps?? I know I’m feelin’ fresh as hell and ready to bring you the biggest tracks from this past week. Hope everyone had a happy Halloween… I didn’t get any trick or treaters or binge on candy so I can’t say it made for a very eventful night but, then again, I never really needed an excuse to binge on candy. In other news, this past week I was lucky enough to have the chance to catch Brazilian electro/house act Darth & Vader at Club Vinyl in Denver due to a last minute booking and, because of that, I was sharing the dance floor with only about 10 other people! Doubt anyone reading this had the chance to attend but I included one highlight from the show below for your listening pleasure.

So, to kick things off, we’ve got a “new” track from Deadmau5 this week. It’s not all that “new” as it’s been floating around the internet as a “previously unreleased” track for a few years now but he’s dropped the final mastered version this week and pretty sure it’s one of the best Deadmau5 tracks to come out all year. Love the trancey feel and I don’t usually say that.

Next up… more Deadmau5? Well, not exactly. Rising producer Special Features dropped this remix this week and I must say I was skeptical at first considering “Strobe” is probably the best Deadmau5 song of all time and I doubted anyone could remix it to any success. I was wrong. This is pure awesomeness.

Lazy Rich released the follow up to his massive track “Better Wipe That Up” this week in the form of “You Missed A Spot”. Love the sense of humor and the track is more electro goodness from the Canadian powerhouse.

Finally, Tommy Trash is at it again experimenting with new sounds and keeping us on our toes! He’s a favorite here on this blog and his newest track is no exception. “The End” is still smashing dance floors across the world but he hasn’t let up with releasing a slew of new tracks. Get on it people!

BONUS: As promised, here’s Darth and Vader’s take on an old classic. Gives it just the right amount of electro bump to make this even more of  banger and differentiate it from the overplayed original.
